• Congratulations to Carl Bayer and Ernest Rookey for locating and conducting the successful salvage of the 75 lb. Fog Bell from the wreck of the Andrea Doria. By any yardstick the Doria is a challenging dive. To make a significant recovery is an accomplishment.
• Rod Macdonald has a new website devoted to the shipwrecks of England, Scotland, and the Orkney's. Rod has written several well regarded books on shipwrecks, and is a dedicated researcher. You can check out his site at:

• Divers have finally located the 291 foot long, wooden hulled, L.R. Doty, in 320 feet of cold Lake Michigan water. Google L.R. Doty for more.
• One of the best books written on Titanic is Wyn Craig Wade's, Titanic - End of a Dream. TEOD was originally written prior to the discovery of the wreck in 1982, and was subsequently updated, but it is one of the most interesting and relevant investigations into Titanic. Wyn has passed away, but his wife Barbara is going to bring the book back into print. It should be available soon.
